Engine and Performance

The Chevy Bolt is available in two trim levels: the 1LT and 2LT. These trim levels feature many of the same attributes, but with a few key differences. For starters, both are equipped with the same powertrain, which is an electric motor. It’s powered by a 65-kWh battery pack capable of producing 200 horsepower with 266 lb-ft of torque and delivering up to 250 miles of driving per full charge, or about 39 miles of range per charge hour when outfitted with the standard 240-volt, 48-amp charging unit.

For overall economy, you can expect an EPA-estimated 131 city/109 highway MPGe. That makes for an EPA-estimated 120 MPGe combined.

Exterior and Interior

While the trim levels are fairly identical when it comes to overall performance, there are some key differences when it comes to exterior and interior features, with the 2LT being more stylistic. While the 1LT comes with 17-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels, the 2LT upgrades to 17-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with carbon flash painted pockets (although this feature is also available with the 1LT as an upgrade).

For overall interior specs, the 2LT comes with many standard features that would otherwise be standalone features for the 1LT. This list includes two-way power lumbar driver seat controls, an eight-way power driver's seat, a leather-wrapped and automatic heated steering wheel, heated driver and passenger seats, and an inside rearview dimming mirror. Additionally, features such as jet-black coloring, perforated leather-appointed seat trimming, and a Bose® premium seven-speaker audio system are available for the 2LT only, making the second trim level your go-to model if overall luxury-level comfort is a priority.

Safety Features

The 2LT also comes with more safety features than the 1LT. Features such as rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alerts, and lane change alerts with side blind-zone alerts are all standard for the 2LT. You can upgrade to these standalone features with the 1LT, which makes personalization a top priority.
