Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 comes in nine trim levels with multiple customization options for cab type and bed size. The RST, LTZ, and High Country trims come standard with a crew cab and a short bed. Lower trim levels feature exterior design and functional elements such as available black recovery hooks, cab-mounted cargo area lamps, a CornerStep rear bumper, and tailgate and bed rail protection caps. Mid and upper-level trims offer elements like chrome or body-color door handles, deep-tinted glass, and heated, powered, driver-side auto-dimming, power-folding outside mirrors. An optional feature includes front and rear black molded splash guards.
Engine (Power)
There are four engine options for the Chevrolet Silverado. The 2.7-liter Turbo engine features 310 horsepower with 348 pound-feet of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel I-6 engine provides 277 horsepower with a slightly more powerful 460 pound-feet of torque and an automatic 10-speed automatic transmission. The 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine offers 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque with an optional eight or 10-speed automatic transmission. The final engine option is a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine that offers much more powerful 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque with an automatic 10-speed transmission.
Performance
Drivers have the option of choosing either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive for their 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. All trims feature four-wheel antilock disc brakes, automatic start/stop, electric power steering, and StabiliTrak, which is an electronic stability control system with traction control. This system helps drivers maintain more road control during various terrain and weather conditions. Mid and upper-level trims can also feature the available automatic locking rear differential. When this differential senses a significant difference in wheel speed, it locks to turn both rear wheels concurrently for added traction.
Interior
Multiple interior customization options ensure that you travel in the utmost comfort with top-of-the-line entertainment technology. All trims come standard with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System with a color touchscreen, a rear vision camera, and USB ports.
