The Blazer also features this same 60/40 split for its second row and offers a maximum of 64.2 cubic feet.

Given the extra row on the Traverse, it also comes standard with a tri-zone climate control system. The Blazer, conversely, offers a dual-zone system for you and your front-seat passenger.

When it comes to performance, the Blazer offers more versatile options as it has three different engines to choose from. The Traverse only has one standard engine across all trims, but it can produce some impressive power.

The Traverse’s engine, a 3.6L V6, really delivers with up to 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. Its other available engine, the 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder, can get you up to 227 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque for a nice medium between the three options.

Fuel economy is quite similar, with the Blazer base engine getting you an EPA-estimated 21 city/27 highway MPG and the Traverse one getting you an EPA-estimated 18 city/27 highway MPG.
